Our brand refresh for Adnams was one of the most important changes to its identity the company has seen. Our research revealed a lack of brand recognition; people weren’t really aware of its provenance. And in the world of craft beers and premium drinks, provenance is key.
The rebrand saw us anchoring the Adnams name squarely in Southwold, its timelessly beautiful coastal home. Our typographer scoured the local boatyards for inspiration, then designed and cut a unique new typeface based on traditional hand-painted signs. We also created new label designs – from their premium wines to Adnams’ very first cider. The refresh gave Adnams an authentic platform to tell the local stories that make them unique.
